Queen’s University Belfast’s Centre for Built Environment Research (CBER) has an international reputation in the area of structural composites and structural materials. The Principal Investigator for this project, Dr Su Taylor, is a Senior lecturer and a Chartered Civil Engineer who has a track record of successful industrial collaboration. Dr Taylor is a Member of the American Concrete Institute, the International Institute for the use of FRP in Construction and the Bridge Researchers’ Forum. She has just been awarded the prestigious Ferguson Medal from the Institution of Civil Engineers for her paper on Sustainable bridge construction through innovative advances.
